Molesey

Molesey is a town in the Elmbridge district of Surrey. Situated in the commuter-belt of London, approximately 13 miles from Charing Cross, it is a typical suburban area. There are two distinct areas in the town: West and East Molesey. Neighbouring towns are Walton-on-Thames and Sunbury-on-Thames and Kingston-upon-Thames; nearby villages include Thames Ditton and Hampton.

Hampton Court Palace

Between 1532 and 1535 Henry added the Great Hall (the last medieval great hall built for the English monarchy) and the Royal Tennis Court.[14] The Great Hall features a carved hammer-beam roof. During Tudor times, this was the most important room of the palace; here, the King would dine in state seated at a table upon a raised dais.[15] The hall took five years to complete, so impatient was the King for completion that the masons were compelled to work throughout the night by candlelight.[16]

Essex Road railway station

At the lower level the lifts and staircase are connected to the platforms via a passageway and a short staircase rising between the two tunnels. The Underground's former operation of the station is evident from the unused and rusty fourth rail which once provided a return of the current from the tube trains serving the line. The third rail is still in use, with return now through the running rails. Signs at street and platform level still mention Network SouthEast, even though it is now First Capital Connect that serves this station. Trains do not serve the line during late evenings and at weekends, being diverted to London King's Cross instead.

Victoria Miro Gallery

The gallery was one of the 118 galleries worldwide to be selected for the first Frieze Art Fair in London in October 2003, alongside other leading British galleries, White Cube and Gagosian.[1]
