The church is open at service times and on many other occasions throughout the year. Because it is in regular use for recordings, concerts and other events, visitors are advised to check that they will be able to gain access. Organised groups are welcome to visit the church and with appropriate notice it is usually possible to arrange for a guide to welcome visitors and show them around.
The station has three tracks running through it which serve a single-sided platform and two double-sided island platforms. The platforms are numbered 1 to 5 with numbers 1 and 2 serving each side of one track and 3 and 4 serving each side of another. Platform 1 northbound is not presently in public use. Two new lifts were installed during 2008, one on platform 2/3 and one on platform 4/5 to provide step-free access to the platforms.

The original bus station was close to the site of the new one. It had a single bus lane next to where the artsdepot now stands and it was closed shortly before construction began of that and the new bus station. The old bus station was served by routes 82, 260 and 134 which all terminated at North Finchley. However, due to the direction the new bus station now faces, it is served by routes 82 and 460, which cover that part of the suspended 260 route between North Finchley and Willesden, as that route was shortened. It is also served by through routes 221 and 125 to Edgware and Finchley Central, respectively. The Cricketers pub used to stand adjacent to the old bus station.
To get from one platform to the other it is necessary to cross a footbridge, or to leave the station and make a journey round the adjacent streets. There is a route from the ticket office onto the bridge without going through the ticket barrier, but it is necessary to go through the barrier to get from either the bridge or the ticket office onto the southbound platform.
